The Fatima College of Health Sciences (FCHS) aims to meet the United Arab Emirates and neighboring Gulf countries’ growing need for skilled healthcare professionals. The College started with offering Bachelor of Science in Nursing program since 2006 and now has expanded in offering more programs at the Bachelors and Diploma levels in Health Sciences. Role Statement: Lab Specialist for the RMI program is responsible for the operation, functioning and day to day organization of the labs and will add his/her effective scientific knowledge and experience. The individual presence is to assure addressing areas of student attendance, satisfaction, retention, discipline and outcome practical evaluations. Principal Tasks and Responsibilities: Manages day-to-day operations of teaching laboratories, including equipment preparation and maintenance, safety standards/training compliance. Assures effective, efficient and safe equipment usage. Maintains an educational setting to support competency and performance training for students. Prepares and oversees equipment scheduled for use during laboratory teaching sessions. Demonstrates care and use of equipment, according to health and safety standards and practices, to teaching staff and students. Ensures that all equipment and operations are audited and maintained to ensure highest levels of adherence to health and safety protocols. Trains teaching staff and students in application and use of new equipment. Coordinates with College administration to determine equipment/consumables purchase priorities based on budget allowances, condition of existing equipment, and scheduled laboratory activities. Implement any changes to the lab facilities necessary to improve lab experiment. Reasonably related duties as assigned by line manager. Education Requirements: Master degree in Medical Imaging/Radiography IELTS Academic band 7 for non native English speakers is a requirement Experience Required: Minimum 2-3 years working in Imaging/Radiography, Demonstrated experience with general laboratory and safety standards and laboratory management.

Science — using scientific rules and methods to solve problems and familiarity with current technology Quality Control Analysis — Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance. Capability to undertake corrective actions as it happen and plan for alternative/corrective procedures when required Ability to develop innovative clinical teaching methods appropriate for laboratory setting.
