General Description

Responsible for the overall design and implementation of branding and marketing communication campaigns to strengthen and enhance the Daman’s brand portfolio and create new value propositions for the Daman brand and line extensions.

Main Duties

Standard duties:

·         Support in development and implementation of department strategy according to the company strategy, responsible in setting the section’s operational goals, initiate measures and has accountability in reaching these goals to improve the overall unit’s performance

·         Support the performance management process that measures and evaluates progress against departmental goals

·         Responsible for a result-oriented management and development of people and resources, including provision of a strong day-to-day leadership presence involving resource allocation, monitoring, reporting, and conducting regular staff meetings

·         Manage the section’s expenditure and requirements, keeping in mind its impact and utilisation on the financial budget

·         Foster organisational culture by establishing quality awareness and service orientation and complying and implementing processes such as Project Management and Change Management

·         Develop, implement and ensure adherence of policies and procedures

·         Promote and support the recruitment and development UAE Nationals to significantly contribute to Daman’s strategic goals

·         Deliver initiatives that support the cost optimisation strategies

·         Ensure the operational aspects of the unit are functioning efficiently and fully compliant with the international standards such as ISO 9000/9001/9002 Infosec and general audit by ensuring full Quality Assurance process optimisation

Department Specific:

·         Branding

o    Monitor and oversee the strengthening and continued development of the Daman brand which will involve working with the branding team and agencies to develop marketing campaigns that deliver equity in the brand through efficient and effective marketing channels both new and existing

o    Conceptualise and manage new initiatives to enhance the Daman’s brand portfolio, and create new value propositions for the Daman brand and line extensions

o    Oversee Daman’s brand presence in all physical and digital channels

o    Design creative brand and tactical campaigns to support the sales function in new markets

o    Manage brand identity and branding guidelines and enforce adherence across the company and partners

·         Marketing Communication

o    Manage the development and execution of marketing communication plans according to the desired business objectives

o    Manage marketing communication campaigns and ensure creative concepts alignment to the brand guidelines

o    Oversee the implementation and monitoring of brand and/or product initiatives which includes:

§  Marketing campaigns’ planning, execution and monitoring (ATL, BTL, Online, Retail)

§  Post campaign / activity research to derive recommendations from results and key learnings

§  Development of sales and marketing collateral

·         Work with Sales and Product Management teams to ensure strategic partnerships and implement strategic plans for identified opportunities

·         Manage relationships with outside vendors and suppliers of creative services, including advertising and public relations agencies, marketing research firms, media buyers, web designers, signage companies and specialty vendors

Work Experience Requirements

·         Minimum 6 years of experience in Marketing,  3 years of which should be in a management or supervisory position

·         Proven track record of successful Brand Management and Marketing Communication campaigns

·         Proven track record of project delivery in Marketing

Education

·         Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent

Skills and Competencies

·         Dynamic, self-driven with strong Marketing Communication and Branding understanding

·         Strategic thinking with strong focus on results and high quality of work and able to “think out of the box”

·         Very good leadership skills including people management and development skills

·         Very good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic language is an advantage

·         Very good analytical, planning, forecasting, execution and problem solving skills

·         Continuously acquire and refresh functional knowledge, skills and competencies

·         Flexible and able to work calmly under pressure

·         Respect and promote trust and confidentiality

·         Strong level of customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions

·         Very good communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

·         Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and promote teamwork and knowledge sharing in order to achieve goals and deliverables

·         Good understanding of brand evaluation methodologies

·         Good understanding media planning methodologies

·         Knowledge of commercial methods used for evaluating the performance of business activities in advertising, marketing and events
