ROLE STATEMENT: To provide Support of the computer desktop/ laptop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions. Be responsible for ensuring that end users are receiving the appropriate assistance. Follow up and support technical issues, Internet and applications for achieving effective controls and quality of service on user’s issues under the guidelines as detailed in the IT Policies and Procedures and maintain a proper document/software library for IT department. PRINCIPAL TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES: Answer staff questions in person and via phone, e-mail and fax on all Institute campuses and projects. Troubleshoot computer problems. Determine source of computer problems (hardware, software, user access, etc.). Advise staff on appropriate action. Serve as liaison between staff and the technology department to resolve issues. Register and assign the problems on helpdesk system to concerned engineers. Monitoring health of all Enterprise Networks (wired and wireless). Where appropriate troubleshoot and repair network or Server problems. Data Back-up management and cloning. Publishing support documentation to assist staff with requests for information & provide staff training if required. Administering the physical security system. Document resolutions for future reference. Perform hardware and software installations. Record messages and direct to relevant parties. Build a system to organize and categorize all IT processes and documentation. This includes: Purchasing Request, Technical Receiving Report , Achievement Certificate, Undertaking Letter, IT Equipment Transfer Form, VPN Request, Time Attendance System Access Request form , SIS user account request form, Shared-Drive Access Request, Purchasing Requisition, IT Release Form and Email account Request….etc. Maintain and distribute IT resources and equipment to all IAT Campuses including Medias, applications and Hardware. Ensuring a centralized control of these resources. Team member in establishing a centralized system to manage, control and update IT inventories such as: (Laptops, Desktops, mobiles, photocopiers & printers ……etc) with system in hand data processing and customer services.

Natural ability to gain client acceptance and confidence from multiple and diverse backgrounds. Troubleshooting Hardware, Software, Applications and Network problem. Excellent knowledge of MS OFFICE XP and MS OFFICE 2007(MS WORD, MS EXCEL, MS ACCESS and MS POWERPOINT). Familiar with installation of new hardware and software. Familiar with configuration new blackberries and dealing with Enterprise Server. Familiar with creating user accounts and emails from Active directory/Exchange Server. English Language: Very good ORAL and WRITTEN.
