General Description: The Specialist, Digital Initiatives reports to the Head of Digital Initiatives and in this capacity support all digital innovation initiatives and all related activities comprising digital health and new digital business and operating models. Main Duties: - Influence the agenda-setting for Daman's digital strategy - Explore digital innovation use cases and initiatives - Programme-manage external partnerships which support respective initiatives - Programme-manage user-centric, front-end digital solutions, such as mobile apps, bots etc. - Generate and prepare status updates and regularly provide progress reports - Research and test innovative uses of digital technology - Explore new business models and technology-enabled business enhancements and use cases - Support in setting digital user experience (UX) standards and UX processes, including user research activities - Explore user-centric use of augmented intelligence / machine learning and shape use cases for Daman - Define Daman's digital health ecosystem and drive front- and backend-integration - Support Proactively communicate with all internal stakeholders and actively help manage external partner relations - Gather and assess internal business unit requirements which are used to specify the development of solutions, change workflows, and to integrate front-end processes with back-end processes - Provide project management office (PMO) services to digital initiatives business owners - Operate the digital performance measurement system (KPI, dashboard) - Ensure complete maintenance of a monitoring system to observe, scan, and analyse key trends in user-centric ICT, user behavior, society, insurance industry, and medical technology / medicine Work Experience Requirements: - Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in in any of the following areas such as digital strategy, innovation, App development, design, technical engineering, start-up / entrepreneurial and/or programme / project management in any of the relevant industry such as (health) insurance, financial services, science, technology and medical / healthcare - Exposure to team leading function is required Education: - Bachelor degree in any business related field - Master degree is preferred
- Strategic innovation mindset and able to mentor and enable others to “think out of the box” - Excellent knowledge about technology and service ecosystem / platform architecture - Strong ability to translate principles and methods of human-centred design into value-adding solutions - Excellent knowledge about people development techniques such as team leadership, coaching and mentoring - Highly motivated, outspoken and approachable team player - Dynamic, self-driven, tech-savvy with strong business understanding and background - Proficiency with project management methods and tools - Very good leadership skills including people management, selection and development skills - Very good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic language is an added advantage - Very good analytical, planning, forecasting, execution and problem solving skills - Continuously acquire and refresh functional knowledge, skills and competencies - Flexible and able to work under pressure - Respect and promote trust and confidentiality - Strong level of customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions - Very good communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Communicate effectively as appropriate for the needs of the audience to achieve understanding and acceptance - Experienced in managing a multi-cultural environment and promote teamwork and knowledge sharing in order to achieve goals and deliverables
