General Description: The position is responsible to manage a portfolio of cross-functional strategic projects throughout project life-cycle while applying and ensuring compliance to best in class PMO methodologies with the objective to ensure current and future projects are aligned with the business strategy and deliver the intended outcomes. Main Duties: • Own the Project Portfolio function and lead the required streams to achieve the requirements. • Contribute towards execution and governance of strategic projects through tracking deadlines, deliverables, resources and timelines throughout the project lifecycle. • Continuously enhance the Project Portfolio Management processes and impart knowledge on best practices and standards. • Manage project initiation pipeline and support business owners for submission. • Facilitate project committees for review of the Project Initiation request. • Build and enhance Portfolio dashboards to ease senior management decision making process • Gather and compile all required project information for the project portfolio. • Maintain portfolio repository and ensure availability of all project documentations, such as: o Project Charter o Project portfolio single project information as per Strategic PMO guidelines o Resource Planning overview and its impacts on the project portfolio o Project KPIs tracking sheet o Project Budget / Forecast & Actual spends o Project & Portfolio Risk Log • Maintain, monitor and report Portfolio consolidated status to senior management. • Identify projects’ interdependencies, risks and build mitigation plan in coordination with Project Managers and Project Sponsors • Prepare project prioritization / reprioritization within the project portfolio • Follow up on project deliverables, quality and effectiveness post project completion • Support teams in building actual benefits reports and dashboard versus initial business plan • Prepare & maintain Project Post-Mortem process. • Provide coaching and guidance to the business & project teams, building and managing meaningful and supportive relationships across the organization
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience with Master’s Degree; or • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s degree • Project Management Certification will be considered as an advantage. • Bachelor degree in any field (Business Administration, Economics etc.) and background in Information Systems will be considered as an advantage. • Strong business understanding and background • Sound knowledge of Project Management methodologies & Portfolio Management processes • Experienced in business analysis and strategic planning • Proficient in requirements definition and business case production • Very good analytical, execution and problem solving skills • At ease with numbers – familiar with financial forecast, budget and resource planning • Good leadership skills including people management, selection and development skills • Very good command of written and spoken English; Arabic language considered an advantage • Ability to influence and communicate with stakeholders at all levels • Ability to acquire and apply new skills • Flexible and able to work under pressure • Respect and promote trust and confidentiality • Results oriented whilst ensuring high quality of work and able to “think out of the box” • Strong level of customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions • Able to work in a multi-cultural environment and promote teamwork and knowledge sharing in order to achieve goals and deliverables • Good knowledge of health insurance concepts • Good knowledge of Microsoft applications
