o Develop, obtain approval and implement the annual plan, policies & procedures for Electrical Department to enable the achievement of business objectives. Provide professional advice and support to all levels of the business on Utility services related issues to ensure that the production capability of the business is optimized. o Direct the development and oversee the implementation of operational policies covering all areas of utility and Water Plant Department activity so that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers o Ensure the effective achievement of Electrical operational objectives through leadership in operations and maintenance function – setting departmental & individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to ensure that the highest level of performance is achieved. o Ensure to maximize plant availability and in line with annual corporate objective unscheduled delay due to Electrical to be within budget. o Review the business risks associated to the plant related to Electrical system and provide technical solution/ recommendation to higher management for sustained plant availability. o Prepare & Manage annual budget and operating plans that accurately represent anticipated Electrical maintenance & development costs to allow accurate business planning and cost management. o Define an optimum organization structure for the Electrical Department so that resources are optimally utilized and communication can take place in an efficient manner. o Responsible for recruiting the manpower with the required skill & competencies amongst available & plan their deployment. o Conduct employee performance review based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge and performance & enhancement of the same. o Responsible to meet corporate and departmental objective for UAE National development and integration in the respective section. o Assist in developing U.A.E national trainees/employees to prepare them ready for acquiring targeted positions in line with IDP developed. o Set up utility maintenance systems to capture all costs per equipment to ensure proper predictive and preventive maintenance are being carried out. o Recommend & Coordinate with third party maintenance services provider to ensure availability of resources in a timely manner. o Recommends capital expenditure plan for the Electrical Manaitenance department which defines the anticipated capital expenditure in order to ensure that the company capability to meet the strategic objectives. o Direct the ongoing review of the physical condition of all physical assets in the Electrical & Maintenance Department to ensure that those assets are in a suitable condition to allow the organization to fulfill its strategic objectives and they comply with any relevant legislation. o Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the Electrical Department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products / services and a responsible environmental attitude o Direct & follow-up all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the Electrical Department to promote awareness on employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products / services and a responsible environmental attitude.
• In depth Knowledge of Utility and Cooling Water Plants of heavy industry. Operation and maintenance. • Knowledge of steel making process i.e. Direct Reduction, Steel Melting, Billet Casting, Re-bar rolling and Material handling equipment’s. • Experience with repairs and maintenance of utility plant equipment’s. • Experience in NDT & Condition monitoring to analyze and provide problem solving engineering decision. • Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, e.g., word processing, email, and spreadsheets. • Ability to work effectively with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), preferably SAP for data analysis and guide others on its operation. • Effective communication skill and leadership
