General Description: The position supports operation of the innovation lab and all related activities by means of user experience, creative design, comprehensive research and development, project management, data management related support services. Main Duties: • Facilitate innovation lab operations on day-to-day basis • Lead trend scouting activities • Animate the community of innovators across the company • Manage events at the lab (training sessions, speaker series, pitching night, etc…) • Help define regular innovation challenges and 'idea boxes' and support its processes • Act as community manager for the ideation platform • Facilitate rollout and implementation of innovation / ideas (such as proof of concept, prototypes etc.) • Coach, facilitate, and assist cross functional innovation project teams • Provide methodological tools, training and practical support to innovation project teams (incl. Design Thinking) • Act as business unit liaison and make sure that subject matters are closely aligned across the organisation • Coordinate the internal communication and PR of the Innovation Lab across the company • Help building the Innovation Lab brand internally and externally by liaising with external stakeholders for events management.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in any of the following areas such as; Start-ups eco system, clinical and/or health-related research and development, user experience graphic design, in industries such as Fintech, Insurtech, Healthcare, Medical/Life Science, Technology industry • Graphic design certification • Post graduate degree ( Master) in Healthcare, Medical/Life Science, Information Technology, or Business administration • Good command of written and spoken English; • knowledge of Arabic language is an advantage • Good analytical, execution, problem solving and decision making skills • Ability to acquire and apply new skills • Creativity and ability to think on the “fringe” of the box • Ability to work in an agile environment and deal with uncertainty • Flexible and able to work under pressure • Respect and maintain a high level confidentiality • Proactive and results oriented whilst ensuring high quality of work • Advance level of customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions • Able to work in a multi-cultural environment and promote teamwork and knowledge sharing • Drive and self-motivation are key aspects of the role • Some coding experience • Good understanding of User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) • Exposure to Data science with a basic understanding of AI, its applications and challenges
