The Institute of Applied Technology is seeking Senior Coordinator Industry Liaison who responsible for identifying new and strengthening existing IAT relationships. As such, the obligatory will attend regular industry seminars and events to build a strong network in support of IAT initiatives. The Industry Liaison Senior Coordinator will act as “Account Manager” for IAT partners. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring suitable internship and graduate positions are available for IAT students. The Industry Liaison Senior Coordinator will also assist IAT Events team and academic staff when industry participation is required for IAT events. Job Responsibilities o Identify new, and strengthen existing IAT relationships with industry organizations to support IAT, its programs and its initiatives. o Participate in the implementation of IAT-wide coordinated and focused relationship management strategy, including the development of a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM). o Act as an “account manager” for those ongoing key relationships with IAT programs’ partners, ensuring that these relationships are fully developed, leveraged and retained. o Plan and conduct regular meetings with industry organizations to promote IAT relations programs and maintain a strong understanding of students sponsorships, training and employment opportunities. o In collaboration with the IAT Senior Manager Industry and Partnership, maintain a regular attendance at industry related meetings and industry events to develop a strong network of IAT partners and enhance IAT reputation. o Cultivate IAT partners and employers for the purpose of supporting recruitment programs for IAT interns (for non-sponsored students), and development of work integrated learning opportunities for all students. o Ensure that any issues between IAT interns and industry partners are resolved agreeably, and in a timely manner. o Work closely with IAT outreach Committee, Community Relations, Alumni Relations and others in implementing IAT Relationship programs and initiatives. o Encourage IAT charitable investment in support of its programs and meeting industry requirements. o Undertake other duties as required and directed by his/her line Manager.
• Holds a Master of Arts in communication • 3 years’ of experience in industrial relations field, partnership development, and marketing in academic institutions. • Experience working as a liaison officer • Industrial experience in IAT subject areas is preferred • English Language proficiency (IELTS 7.0)
